Two and a half days before Palm Sunday 2008, 319 people converged on the historic Soul Saving Station Church in Harlem. They came to attend the New York Congress on Discipleship. God saw fit that this annual event -held in different cities -would impact more people than the organizers could have ever imagined. The attendees were bishops, pastors, church leaders, laypeople, educators, professionals, students, urban youth and adults, and military personnel. The common ground was a commitment to reaching into the urban communities of America to evangelize and disciple people for Christ.
